Camp Amigo
Camp amigo exists to provide kids who have physical and emotional scars a place to be themselves and build a network of support that will last throughout their lives. The camp is fully funded by private donations and the campers stay free of charge.
Camp Amigo is a burn camp operated by fire fighters from Tallahassee and Jacksonville. Every year we send kids, who are victims of burns through house fires, chemical incidents, or domestic abuse, to a beachside camp at Billy Jo Rish State Park in Apalachicola. Fire Fighters serve as counselors, attending the week long camp on their own time.
