About The Jacksonville Fire Fighter Charities

The Jacksonville Fire Fighter Charities was formed in August of 2009 to better coordinate the charitable efforts of the Jacksonville Association of Fire Fighters. It is the charitable division of the Jacksonvile Association of Fire Fighters Local 122.

The purpose of the Jacksonville Fire Fighter Charities is to assist in the very communities we live in and serve. Many fire fighters actually work in the communities they grew up in. Other firefighters have been assigned to stations for long periods of time, essentially calling the community home.

The Jacksonville Fire Fighter Charities is all about giving. A smoke detector giveaway program has helped arm over 100 houses with better working smoke detectors.

Fire Fighters are on the front line of the battle to defeat neuromuscular diseases. In conjunction with their parent orgainzation, the International Association of Fire Fighters, over $25 million dollars was given to Jerry Lewis at his annual telethon.
